Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. A very nice and clean hotel with extraordinarily friendly staff, especially a woman who worked almost all day! Excellent food and a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back, thank you very much!

The room was very comfortable and well maintained. Staff was exceptionally nice. Food was superb. Location was perfect. I would recommend the Kirkwall Hotel to anyone.

Situated on the Orkney Island, 14 miles from Kirkwall, Smithfield Hotel offers 3-star accommodation with free parking, a bar, and a restaurant. Kirkwall airport is 30 minutes’ drive away. The hostess was cordial & accommodating. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed my stay!

The food was the best I have had in a long time. The location of the hotel is just near the ferry and other amenities. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
