The hotel rooms were excellent, modern, clean and stylish, bed was huge and very comfortable, spa centre was excellent, pool very clean. Highly commend the staff for being very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive when we asked whether by any chance they will have lythium battery which we needed for the car key, luckily they had one. We really appreciate their help and thank them for being helpful.

Lovely place. We stayed in room 4, and we loved the decor. It was very clean and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. We both had fantastic night's sleep. There is a bar/restaurant below the rooms but separate to bohotel. We selected the breakfast included option when booking, so ate there both mornings. So glad we did as it was delicious, and the service was very friendly and professional. Easy walking distance into Macclesfield. We ate at the Picturedrome for lunch which is only a few doors down from the hotel. We also enjoyed a stroll to Treacle market on Sunday morning. I would stay here again. Definitely recommended.

What a fantastic hotel and room - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Legh Arms and will definitely be staying again. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, our room was a deluxe double and it was so comfortable and spacious. The mini fridge was most welcome, as was the fresh milk for a cup of tea. The hotel even provided a little gift pack for our dog, which he enjoyed.
The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and we had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, which had a good atmosphere.
The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel - a tasty, big full English breakfast with great quality food.
There are a few nice bars on the doorstep and the hotel has a lovely beer garden, which is a good suntrap too.

A good base to visit Peak District.
A good base to visit Peak District. Shopping centre in decline. Local bus services in decline but possible to reach Hayfield and Buxton. Plus very good train service to Manchester, London, Birmingham etc. Some good eateries - especially excellent Plums Kitchen.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure.
I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early.
I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.
Wow. Where do I start? The room was absolutely stunning 🤩. Lovely Victorian features. 2 massive fireplaces. Amazing bath tub. Massive bed which was so comfortable. The room was exquisite and decorated impeccably. Well worth a visit for a bit of luxury. Our short stay Couldn’t have been any nicer. Amazing communication from Laura about our stay. The breakfast at the cafe downstairs was beautiful. Right in the centre with lots of night life and things to do. Will definitely want to come here again. Thank you so much❤️
I liked the flat very much overall. It is nicely done up and decorated, cosy with a contemporary, clean styling. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use with quality appliances. Comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and attention to details throughout the flat. Great location too, close to Macclesfield town centre. The hosting company was quick and easy to communicate with and sent detailed information before arrival.
Telly was extremely accommodating to arrange transfer of keys, and a quick tour of the property. The facilities were clean, adequately supplied with linens, kitchen utensils, wifi, full cooker/stove. It was perfect for my needs (a self-contained place from which to visit a sick relative).
Proximity to the centre of town, and the train station is a whopping PLUS!
The location is 4 mins walk from the train station in amongst some really lovely bars and restaurants. The room itself is super cute and it is clear the host has put some real thought on what could make your stay special. The room has all the amenities you need and is given a quick clean every day. A choice of hot or cold breakfast is available, which was tasty.
Beautiful, very well equipped apartment with lots of homely touches, ideal location for town centre, restaurants, shops, Silk Museum and a short walk to train and bus station. Coffee, biscuits and milk provided by host very welcome. Beds warm and comfortable. Free Netflix and Wifi. James, the host was very helpful. Will stay again when next in the area.
Mottram Hall Hotel is in a nice location, but we had difficulty getting taxi’s to come out to the Hotel which is in a rural area.
The Bedroom was reasonably clean but not worth the £200 per night, price tag!
The Elemis toiletries in the bathroom had been partially used!
Breakfast was extra and not included in the cost.
Great location right in the centre of the village. The room was bigger than I thought it was going to be. Large comfortable bed. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially breakfast. We had a nice quiet walk along the river which we accessed from Shirleys car park on Sunday morning.
The room was large and comfy although dark as it faced a wall. The twin beds were adequate and the breakfast, buffet style, was also fine. The hotel is in a good location for walking and yet not too far from Macclesfield. The staff were attentive and helpful as our room key stopped working on several occasions.
Eloisa was a fantastic hostess. The room was very comfortable and the shared facilities were spotless. Couldn’t find any fault with my stay here. Eloisa even drove me to the nearest train station when trains were cancelled from Macclesfield! Great location if (like myself) you need to be in the town too.
The location is great - close to the train station and shops and canal of Macclesfield and is very quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked with all utensils needed. We had a bottle of Prosecco left for us which we drank on our anniversary - nice touch. The host was available for all queries that we had.
A lovely boutique hotel in central macclesfield warmly and stylishly decorated, great room and warm and welcoming people. I tried it out because i really didnt want to stay in a bland chain hotel again - i was surprised and delighted and will definitely stay again.
The rooms were spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was so nice to arrive to a small container of milk, cookies, coffee and tea. The apartment's location was excellent, very close to the centre of town and lots of shops and restaurants.
Overall the experience was great, staff were friendly and the hotel was tidy and clean at all times.
The rooms are super comfortable and very enjoyable to stay in.
Special acknowledgment to Ben on front desk, was absolutely lovely to deal with.
The breakfast was abundant with plenty of options. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect for a country retreat that’s also quite near a town. Beautiful views and some lovely circular walks from the hotel.
