Cozy, historical pub hotel in the village of Chagford opposite the town church. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lots of space in the bar with a fireplace and old features. Open and modern dining area for breakfast in the morning (included) and lunch/dinner options (not included). Breakfast buffet with cereals, juices, coffee and a delicious hot breakfast cooked to order included. My eggs were poached to perfection! The rooms were cute, older style furniture in keeping with the theme and with lots of storage space. Very comfortable bed, fresh clean sheets. No noise from the downstairs bar at all. Coffee and tea facilities. Hairdryer in room. Big bathroom with shower unit. Lovely big fluffy towels, heated towel rail.
Featuring a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Chagford Inn is located in Chagford, 28 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse and 42 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium.

I loved the large bedroom, tastefully decorated, and the huge comfortable bed. The view across the forest to the moors was wonderful. I liked the excellent breakfast and pub for drinks and delicious dinner.
I loved this little village, enough to keep me interested.

Ate at both The Three Crowns and Chagford Inn, both of which were excellent.

Such a pretty market town, Lots of independent shop and cafes. Plenty of scenic walks. Chagford has an outdoor fresh water swimming pool set in very scenic surroundings. Breath taking views of the surrounding countryside. The town itself is bursting to the seams with very old buildings and cottages (some thatched) and is steeped in history.
Everything! The grounds were lovely the hotel well kept and the atmosphere was instantly welcoming and relaxing.
The outlaws thoroughly approved which was a gold star for me and my 7 year old daughter was made to feel so welcome.
The level of service was the best we have experienced even higher than previous stays at the savoy and lanesborough in London which we didn’t think could be beaten!
Food was delicious room comfortable we genuinely found it impossible to criticise anything!
The Globe Inn is definitely eclectic and has its own style - but even though the decor was not to my taste the place was immaculate, the staff were really lovely, we had one of the best roasts we've ever had and the breakfast was lovely. Lots of spare pillows, beautiful little village with some really sweet local attractions like Castle Drogo and if you have young children the Miniature pony centre is just down the road and a really lovely day out.
Everything is so stylish yet simple, and beautifully curated in the bedrooms and the cafe. We had a great sleep in a gorgeous room, and a tasty and generous breakfast of poached eggs with bacon, and with avocado for breakfast.
It was such a treat to be hosted by Posy and Matt; every moment and every detail of our short visit was truly exceptional, we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Chagford.
Staff went above and beyond - when our car broke down and we were late returning to the hotel, Dave the barman stayed up late to let us in and welcomed us in with a glass of wine.
Lovely situation - our room was fantastic - it felt like a suite to ourselves at the top of the hotel overlooking the church.
Dinner was delicious - would highly recommend a stay here and we will be back
Perfect stay at the Ring O Bells great pub in the heart of Chagford the staff were lovely very friendly and so helpful the room was cleaned to a very high standard bed was so comfortable highly recommend the Ring O Bells i will definitely be returning
From the outside the hotel looked very welcoming and the inside continued to impress the open log fire and the tastefully done decor was a delight. The staff were all extremely polite and always ready to help making our stay even more enjoyable.
Wrenscott is a super little cottage. Very compact but with enough space for a couple to enjoy a lovely stay. The location is fantastic it is just a short walk into Chagford which has great pubs, shops, cafes and little stores.
Wonderful village location. Friendly, traditional pub-hotel. Lovely room with a very comfy bed and a good, firm mattress. Dog-friendly with a good supply of dog bowls and mats. Great evening meal and breakfast. Good wi-fi too.
Great location, friendly staff, outstanding food, and large comfortable room. Parking was very short walk to the hotel and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend Three Crowns.
