Our stay at the Burleigh Court Hotel exceeded the (already high) expectations we had for our trip to the Cotswolds. The location is stunning, the staff was very friendly and helpfull with good suggestions for local activities and places to go to. The gardens and many places to sit are superb. We can highly recommend this hotel for your trip to the Cotswolds

I love the cottage atmosphere, well equipped, cosy and with all you need. You can put a record on, use the amazing oven, make an espresso, the room were quite good sized considering that this is a cottage. You get the Cotswolds atmosphere.

Stroud is quite a big town in Gloucestershire and, as such, it has all of the shops and amenities one would expect. Plus, with a taxi rank, train station and frequent bus services to/from Cheltenham and Gloucester, among other places, the town is well connected. I would recommend it as a base from which to explore Gloucestershire.

Vibrant, friendly and historic town full of stylish places to eat and drink, unique gift shops surrounded by beautiful countryside. Local bus service was also very reliable on the Saturday ( well - better than my own at home anyway!). Public toilets in the town were clean and convenient.
I was on my own but felt safe even at nighttime.
Would recommend the indoor market, Stroud Bookshops, as well as Cornflower and Calico for kitchenware gifts. The Coffee House and Curio Lounge Cafe Bar were great places to visit as well.

Amberley Inn was in a village outside Stroud, the area was very picturesque and plenty to do in the area. The Aboretum at Batsford was exceptional with lovely autumn colour and the Cotswold Villages are a delight.

Went to watch Giffords Circus at Minchinghampton Common, the show was fantastic and the atmosphere great, ate in the local pub, good food but a tad on the expensive side.
Lovely area of the Country to visit
Overall the Clothiers Arms met our expectations. The room was very clean and of a good size with access to a private outdoor patio area complete with table and chairs. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. The lady who served breakfast was especially pleasant and provided an excellent service. The full English breakfast was very plentiful and tasty. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the town centre and the well set-out beer garden had splendid views over the valley.
Very clean and comfortable with everything you might need in an apartment, even an induction hob. Spacious. We had never visited Stroud before and the 5 Valleys Aparthotel turned out to be quite centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the shops. Most of the major supermarkets were were represented. Dog walking was easy, with access to the canal towpath just two minutes away from the apartment.
The room with ensuite bathroom was beautifully decorated, spacious and had everything we needed and more! The host Abi was wonderful and helpful and so friendly yet also allowed us to have our own space when needed. The house resident Bassett hounds were an added lovely bonus - they were so friendly! Bed was really comfy too - couldn't recommend more if you need somewhere to stay in Stroud
Well equipped, clean and comfortable. easy parking. Lovely walk across fields to town centre. Number 63 bus every 30 minutes to return from town, it’s a steep walk back. Good taxi service in the evening. Landlord very friendly and helpful. Locals all very friendly too. Saturday market in Stroud is brilliant, amazing selection of foods and crafts. Well worth a visit.
We really liked the apartment, it's very spacious, clean and well presented. Very quirky inside with lots of different levels and rooms, and the two full bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower) were very useful. The Old Fleece pub/restaurant next door, was fantastic. The food was wonderful and the staff so friendly. There are some lovely walks in the area.
This is a beautiful manor that was rebuilt as a hotel. I totally felt the vibe of being some sort of dutchess:) Lovely staff definitely helped to feel special.
It was our wedding anniversary. We absolutely recommend this place for special events or just for a weekend getaway.
Breakfast and dinner were delicious.
Thank you Burleigh Court Hotel for our lovely stay!
Great location, with free off-road parking, with a 15 minute walk to the centre of Stroud. Very smart and comfortable ground floor apartment with traditional beams. Full facilities and the owner left us a pint of milk and tea bags, which is a nice touch after a long drive.
We only stayed for two nights, but will definitely return and stay for longer.
Well-situated in a heritage area, close to the town centre, public transport and other local services. Comfortable, warm flat with quiet neighbours, good facilities and pleasing views to the hills and Severn Vale. Particularly liked the canal-themed photos on the walls. Provided a welcoming 'second home' during my stay.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Stonehouse Court Hotel.
We had a lovely room overlooking the grounds and while we were there we enjoyed great food and beautiful walks beside the river.
All the staff were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay special.
Self catering facilities! There is an excellent cycle path that is 1 mile walk to nearest town ‘Nailsworth” plenty of choice of places to eat! Also local supermarket available if you want to take advantage of self catering facilities! Cycle path also leads to Stroud 4 miles
Breakfast was excellent. First time I have ever had spinach with a full English. My daughter tells me this is typical Stroud breakfast.
Nice and clean and spacious. I felt like part of the decour as my T-shirt had the same promotion as one of the posters on the pub wall.
Great countryside location just outside Stroud with beautiful views. The cottage was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Gill was very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend Bobby’s Nook as a place to stay.
Charging point for electric car - in working order and always available
Great view from the dining room
Staff helpful with storing some equipment in the hotel
Beautiful staircase!
Stroud brewery beer was great
The original building and surrounding area is really beautiful. Generally the staff were very friendly and helpful and I really liked the fact they provided things like routes for local walks.
Great location, apartments were nicely sized and clean. The host was very accommodating and spent lots of time helping to arrange our stay and also to give us tips on what to do in the area.
