Following many poor reviews we were a little anxious about our stay. Overall I feel the experience was ok, the room was clean if not dated and needs a refresh taking into account the age of the hotel. The breakfast was fine if not a little limited, the staff were always polite to us. I felt the cost was slightly overpriced but given the location, accommodation is at a premium. One issue was the odour in the dining room and bar which to me was of wet dog, as we did not dine there it was not an issue, as for breakfast we sat next to an open window.

Beautiful location. It is definitely worth having a Deluxe room overlooking the lake. The staff were so professional, very smart and friendly.
We enjoyed the walk around the lake and woodland.
Built in 1841, this Grade II listed building has retained many period features, with converted and tastefully furnished interiors creating the warm and friendly atmosphere.

I had two visits in one. The lady that booked us in and interfaced with us prior to arrival, greeted us and showed us the hotel was exceptional. All was great the day we arrived, despite there being a function that night and a wedding the following day to prepare for. The disappointment came in the morning...................

Enjoyed the pubs, shop, and tea room; plus the local walks.
Enjoyed the pubs, shop, and tea room; plus the local walks. Unfortunately like much of England currently the walks suffered from the amount of litter particularly the amount of dog poo and full dog poo bags discarded in all sorts of places such as dry stone walls

Malham is absolutely beautiful.
Malham is absolutely beautiful. I can imagine it is really busy during the summer so October was an excellent time to visit. Malham Cove is stunning and a short walk from the village. There are lots of beautiful walks right from the village. We started and ate at The Lister Arms. Highly recommend this pub. The food is fantastic and the staff very welcoming. Loved the bar woth the open log fire after a long days hiking. The fish and chips were top notch. The Moules Marinere delicious. The beds very comfortable and the rooms stylish and cosy.

Malham is a beautiful old village with fantastic walking on the doorstep. The village is extremely picturesque everywhere and Gordale Scar,Janet's Foss and Malham Cove all provide the perfect circular walk from the village that can be done easily in 2/3 hours max and each place is unique and stunning! An absolute gem ! It gets busy obviously but early mornings or late afternoons and dusk are perfect times to see these places .Dusk walking is stunning here catching the late light .Paths are all well maintained and easy to follow with fantastic signage everywhere for those who are new to the area and the landscape is ancient and very interesting.

Malham walks are a must.
Malham walks are a must. Two main walks that I did were both great. The malham cove walk is challenging and you need plenty of energy and the second walk to gordale scar/Janet's foss is a very easy walk and a must too. It is also good for dogs. The two pubs are welcoming and friendly. Easy to get around and the old barn cafe has lovely staff and sensible prices.
The hotel is in a beautiful location nearby several great spots for exploring such as Janet's Foss and Malham Cove. The hotel itself was exceptional, the rooms were spotless and the owners greeted us at the door. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, and best of all the food is excellent (and fully vegan!).
We had dinner when we arrived, breakfast in the morning before exploring, and came back for an afternoon tea before we left, all of which were spectacular! Definitely visiting again soon.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the made to order breakfast was amazing. The location was much better than expected, we had hoped to stay in malham but it was fully booked, however after staying at the Victoria, which is only 20-30 min walk from Malham we would always choose to stay here in the future & great to be away from the crowds. Excellent village location with parking, great food & the staff are exceptional, very friendly & helpful.
Absolutely beautiful stay at Miresfield, the rooms were gorgeous so spacious, comfy and decorated beautifully, loved the touch of some homemade biscuits too. Breakfast was fabulous, loveliest staff to welcome us and take our orders for breakfast. Location of the hotel is perfect, can take a walk to Malham cove or explore the near by villages, free parking at the hotel too. We loved our stay here and will definitely be returning!
Beck Hall was perfect. Gorgeous room with a four poster bed and a view of the stream, the friendliest and most attentive staff, some of the best food I've ever tasted. We couldn't believe the value for money! Beautiful setting nestled in the Malham hills, really modern restaurant/bar area, and a cosy historic snug with fireplace and sofas. I cannot recommend Beck Hall enough, and I look forward to coming back!
Spacious room and bath in what might be the most picturesque inn we've ever stayed. The facilities were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere of the inn, pub, and patio were so lovely and the location in Malham was perfectly situated to walk to Malham Cove.
Lovely, cosy pub in a beautiful location, perfect for walking around Malham. Excellent food and drink on offer, very dog friendly, and comfortable rooms with the added bonus of White Company toiletries and big, fluffy towels - much needed after a long day of walking!
This little cottage is a gem. Comfortable, warm and cosy and perfectly located for exploring Malham and the surrounding area.
Thank you to the owners for the little extras (tea, coffee, biscuits and milk) which were very much appreciated after a long journey.
Fabulous location; walk from YHA Malham to Janet Foss, Gordale Scar waterfall and Malham Cove viewpoint, circular walk of three hours across the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Comfortable rooms and very clean, with good bacon baps breakfast available!
Everything! As vegan travelers we were excited to be able to eat and drink anything and everything on the menu.
Staff were all helpful and friendly.
The location is gorgeous.
The room was cozy.
We will definitely be returning in the future.
Relaxed , genuinely dog friendly - particularly the breakfast sausage for dogs !
Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay .
Food was good , particularly the fish and chips .
The location is perfect for exploring the area .
Fabulous location, very friendly staff and the food was great. We were amazed at how popular Malham was, and the Lister Arms was certainly popular. This said, they made us feel very welcome and the food and accommodation was great.
Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good location in Malham, near the wonderful Malham Cove, & Gordale Scar. A good place to start out from, or take a break on a walk around the dales.
Close to most things in and around Malham. 20 to 30 mins to local pubs with great food. Excellent for walkers with dogs, plenty of dog friendly pubs and eateries. Close to other towns with things to do.
