The hotel is beautiful, the view is amazing. The restaurant staff was really friendly and welcoming. Everyone was polite and professional. The food was amazing.

The breakfast was simple but still very tasty. I did wish it was available till 11 or 12 though, rather than 10

It was clean, quiet, airy, with comfortable beds, excellent recycling. Everything was clearly explained in signs, good for neurodivergent people.
Set in Ilfracombe, near Wildersmouth beach, Ilfracombe and Watermouth Castle, Sandpiper Inn B&B and Pub has a bar. This beachfront property offers access to bowling in the bowling alley and free WiFi....

The location on the harbour was perfect for catching a boat to visit Lundy the following morning. Because we were leaving early in the morning and didn't want breakfast our hosts bought us a drink in the pub which was a really nice touch.
A family-run hotel set in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, Palm Court B&B is a 3-minute walk sea front and shops and just a 1-minute walk from Tunnels Beaches.
It's just off the centre of town only 3 minutes away
Great fish and chip and ice cream shop. Lovely walk up to the hill with fabulous views.
Sadly, lots of shops closed or closed early. Need more interesting shops in the high st. The Nest, florist, chocolate emporium were definitely the best.

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.

Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural.
Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural. The town however was a little disappointing in terms of felt a bit run down and lacking in investment in some areas. Worth a visit altho not too long as I think more useful to use as a base to travel than a holiday in as wasn’t enough to offer.
Cairn House is perfectly situated for exploring North Devon. The room we stayed in was great - large, clean and comfy and the hosts
Nick and Margaret were super friendly and welcoming. The Honesty Bar is a fab idea, we enjoyed a couple of drinks on the picnic bench in the front garden. The breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choice and were served really quick, meaning we could make an early start and the most of our days. We had a fab time in Ilfracombe and wouldn't hesitate in rebooking to stay at Cairn House.
A great stay at Horne Cottage, would return and definitely recommend to others. The location is excellent - a short walk to Ilfracombe harbour/amenities and well located to reach other parts of North Devon by short car journey. The cottage was pristine and very comfortable, especially beds and beautifully laundered linen/towels provided. Check-in/out was very easy via a keysafe and meant we could arrive any time, we didn't meet the hosts in person but they're just next door if needed.
We stayed in Laurel Dean cottage which is one bedroom and all ground floor. It has a small garden with table and chairs perfect to relax after a busy day sight seeing. Property was in a good location within walkable distance to Ilfracombe harbour and town. Took about 20 minutes but be warned it is a generally hilly area as is all of North Devon. Ample parking is available for all cottages. It was extremely clean and had all kitchen equipment that you could need
The room had a great view of the sea and harbour area. The hosts were so welcoming and Sharon suggested lots of good places to eat and visit during the stay. Breakfast is fabulous. Lovely lounge for guest use. Only about 10 minutes to walk into town down a path most of which is away from traffic. Take the Ilfracombe Princess trips - got to see the seals and porpoises! Had great weather and wonderful stay.
The location of the hotel is outstanding. The staff is welcoming and being and old property, it was having it old charm. The patio is right on the harbour and present a incredible view of pier and iconic places in Ilfracombe like Verity and St. Nicholas Chapel. The property is right in centre of village and it can not get better than this.
Andrew and Nick were the perfect hosts, the Hotel was close to all amenities and a good base to explore north Devon’s outstanding coastline.
Excellent breakfast every morning was a great start to the day.
The added bonus of on site parking was a real plus in a town that has very little street parking. 10/10 all round
Excellent breakfast, more than enough.
Lovely friendly owners, even let us park our car in their drive, as parking was, at times, difficult. Organised watching the Euro cup semifinals, fun night. Hotel is positioned right in the middle of Ifracombe, a stones throw from the beautiful Harbour and the Elephant Rock.
everything was fantastic. the owners are very thoughtful, the room had an amazing sea view with large windows, the room was very clean and nothing was missing. breakfast was perfect, service is great. really, it was perfect. we found the perfect place to stay in North Devon. highly recommend.
Location superb, literally yards from the Tunnels Beaches, and the Catholic Church (ideal for Easter Sunday Mass) and 10 mins walk from the harbour
Good breakfast
Clean and comfortable room
Friendly and helpful host
Single malts in the hotel bar
Very pleasant staff and clean and comfortable apartment with sea view as requested. Also did a surprise raffle upon check in! Very good base for exploring North Devon! Lots of car park spaces. Will definitely come back.
Location was 5 to 10 min walk from harbour/town. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Clean hotel and the hospitality was 5 star. Breakfast was tasty. Really enjoyed our stay at the Norbury.
We had a lovely stay in this really spacious, well equipped flat. Everything was thought of and the location was very convenient close to the harbour.
Would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was ok. Bed was comfy, location is pretty good. Ilfracombe is a lovely little town. Lots of hills so if mobility is an issue you may want to re-think.
