The location was perfect for our trip down to the Harry Potter studio tour. Just a 15 minute drive away and in a quiet rural spot. The main room was stunning and very spacious. The hosts are really friendly and made sure we knew where everything was. There's also a lovely outdoor area but sadly we didn't get to use it because of the cold weather. Would definitely recommend.

    The staff are so helpful.

The staff are so helpful. It’s easy to get to - perfect for Harry Potter world. There seemed to be a few other attractions near by too. The pool and gym were a little shabby but the kids loved it and it was a great way to tire them out. The breakfast was great and at the other end of the day the bar was comfy, inviting and well stocked.

I thought this place was perfect for us. We met our grandchildren there and they loved the pool. The evening menu was great for adults, unfortunately the children didn’t like anything but that’s not saying it was good. Picky eaters!

The accommodation was a very high standard and the host were very helpful. We needed to check in early to attend a family function and the hosts were more than willing for us to do so.Everthing was made easy for us and although the host was available to us we were given privacy .The only problem we encountered was the m25 which had lane closures but we soon overcame that

The staff were lovely. Really helpful.

The staff were lovely. Really helpful. Put surprise birthday card and sweets in the room foe my son, which he loved. The room was tiny. Just enough space to walk between the double bed and the sofa bed. Bothe mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was basic and not much choice. We got there at around 9 and some stuff had run out and without asking wouldn't of been refilled.

We can’t really comment on Hemel Hempstead itself as we were there to catch up with relatives and only had two days and the weather was dreadful so we didn’t get to see much! But the people we met were friendly and helpful

It was clean and the in room amenities were good, shower pressure was disappointing, pull out bed had 2 duvets on top of the mattress but it was still uncomfortable, main bed was ok for 1 night- spare room level of comfort, not main room or luxury like the "purple" hotels. Breakfast choices were good and the option to take away was good too. There is the option for an evening meal even though the website says there isn't, but the Fullers right next door is a better option.

Best hotel we stayed in all week. Nice room above a busy pub. Had air conditioning, a nice big clean bathroom and really comfortable beds. Breakfast to go was included too. Really good value. Location was great. We didn't eat at the pub (as we fancied a change) but this is in the centre of old Hemel Hempstead and close to all the amenities. The pub is old, and feels really quaint.

Overall the hotel was brilliant and the staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Leisure facilities were good and rooms very comfortable. Food was lovely and breakfast was fantastic especially as kids eat free ( with paying adult). Good location 5 mins from Hemel Hempstead train station and then only 25-30 mins into London Euston

We liked the layout of the hotel.. The continental breakfast was very good and is included in the price. (Fruit juice, fresh fruit salad, chocolate croissants, muffins, toast, and cereals).A selection of cooked breakfast dishes were also available at an additional cost, but we didn't feel it necessary to have any cooked dish.

I like the thought they put into equipping and decorating the place. It gave a homely feel, was very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfy for me. Even though it is located right in the centre of Hemel Hempstead I had a very good sleep. Much better sleep than in any hotel really. So all was really good..

The location was brilliant, staff were lovely, room was good and clean alone with the rest of the hotel. No complaints in them areas. I also really like how your cereal was placed out in little bowls with lids on ready to add milk to. So easy and child friendly with them being plastic.

We found the hotel staff helpful and friendly, particularly Sharon, who was a ray of sunshine and greeted us each morning. It really made our stay such an enjoyable experience. We were so sad when our holiday had to come to an end. Thank you to all of the staff at Holiday Inn Express.

This hotel is very tired for the money I paid. I remember the last time I stayed there it was a very nice hotel but not now. And the breakfast is very overpriced too. I wish I stayed in a Premier Inn instead would of been a much better place to go and stay.

We have been traveling for 5 weeks in the UK. This is THE best place we’ve stayed! Bed was SO comfy. Impeccably clean. Room was warm and man at desk came promptly down to switch it. Breakfast-big wow! Bacon, sausage, etc. Hated to leave.
