The Park Hotel, hotel in Dunoon

With a scenic, tranquil location in Dunoon, The Park Hotel offers impressive sea views and stylish rooms. There is free parking and a traditional Scottish restaurant.

Double bed was two single beds together. Slight dip in the centre Breakfast: Full breakfast was good. Smoked salmon and scrambled egg: the salmon was pale and too salty and the scrambled egg was tasty but firm (it depends on your interpretation of scrambled egg). Staff were friendly and attentive (extra toast!!) Didn't use the bar so can't comment on prices or service Struggled with the online television.... Overall a good place to stay, quiet location not far from the town centre. We'd stay again

Dunoon is still developing as a destination.

Dunoon is still developing as a destination. It is however a good base for travelling around Argyle and the Cowal peninsula. There are plenty of ferry links relatively to allow travel on Bute, The Mull of Kintyre and on to Arran as well as the link to Inverclyde. We were there for two half days but managed to see Puck's Glen and the Benmore Botanic Gardens, both well worth a visit. Had a nice sit in Fish Supper beforwe going to a concert in the Burgh Halls. Burgh Halls was a good venue

    Beautiful town with gorgeous scenery.

Beautiful town with gorgeous scenery. The Castle Museum is well worth a visit as the staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming. The history of Dunoon is fascinating. The Lorne Inn is a great place to eat but there are plenty of other places too. Puck’s Glen with waterfall walk is nearby and the Botanic Garden is close by also. Dunoon is handy for the ferries to Gourock and the Isle of Bute.

I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Dunoon is a lovely little town that needs to advertise its wares much more effectively. In particular opportunities for walking in the surrounding countryside. There is a reasonable range of shops and places to eat but opening times are too restricted to attract more tourists.

Fabulous stay. Lovely warm welcoming atmosphere and all the staff were really friendly. Our dogs were made very welcome too. Comfortable bar area. Our room was warm and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy making for a great nights sleep. Food was amazing both at dinner and breakfast. Great location for visiting around Dunoon and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend The Whistlefield.

Superb view over the Clyde - lots to watch huge variety of boats and good selection of sea birds . Comfortable bed and furniture in the sitting area. Nearness to local facilities eg a pub, hotel and shop only a few minutes walk away . Interesting walks within a short drive as well as good flat walking from door . More challenging walks in the hills behind the village .

Excellent location and facilities for staff team based in the area for special meetings and events. The key merits of this hotel are always the staff, always professional welcoming and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and the lounge areas are good too, although the owners would better serve customers well with refurbishment.

The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable and the location lends itself to some great hikes and exploring the towns in the area. An extremely relaxing stay.

This family run b&b is in a wonderful location overlooking Holy Loch in Sandbank near Dunoon. The owners were friendly, and the full Scottish breakfast really tasty. The rooms were spotlessly clean with a good shower. We loved this accommodation and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This is an absolute GEM in the heart of Western Scotland. Placed aesthetically overlooking the Holy Loch, it felt very similar to Norway. Served a top breakfast and the owners were extremely warm and welcoming. Very informative of the area and the room was absolutely top, very clean and comfy.

Booked this property for 3 of our guys who were working in the area recently. Feedback from them was all good. So much so that they wanted to return the following week, unfortunately the property was fully booked. Good contact from the host prior to arrival.

Given the cheap price I feel that the hotel was good. It's a basic hotel but they know it's not the Ritz and have priced it as such. It's located in a nice part of Dunoon with great views down the Firth of Clyde.
