Property was amazing. My husband found the stairs were difficult for him as he has disabilities and we were not aware that the stairs were very steep but with assistance we managed. Had a bit of a problem with the key code but that soon got sorted and we got in. The owner was very good at answering any questions that we had. All the facilities were very good.

I think that Cromer is a good base as it has better facilities than other towns/villages nearby but I also feel it is a bit crowded and tired. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby however and top of our list would be Well Next the Sea/Holkham beach, Holt and Norwich. If you visit Norwich don't miss the Cathedral Quarter as it is so peaceful and beautiful plus free to enter and look around.
Holkham beach at Wells is absolutely stunning and incredibly clean. Consider hiring a beach hut as they are fabulous and at £65 for a full day (9:30 - whenever you want to leave) are good value if you want to stay on the beach with a picnic all day.
Holt is a beautiful Georgian town with lots of independent shops where you can easily pass 3-4 hours.
We frequently drove along the coast road (A149) and simply stopped off at villages along the way - there are far too many to mention but standouts would be Blakeny and Cley.
Overall I would say this area is lovely and especially if you like walking but you need good weather.

One of the most friendly Towns I have ever visited, would love to live there ❤️, lovely people who were happy to stop and chat, help with directions etc. or talk about their pets. Just couldn’t fault staff in shops or cafes and some lovely places to eat tbat were reasonably priced and good VFM with portion sizes. The show on the pier far exceeded our expectations, so entertaining and tickets only £26 each, again great value. Loved the slower pace of the area, driving was a pleasure too, just all round lovely.

Our trip was out of season but still a lovely place to visit, the pier is clean and rubbish free and lovely tea and cake to be had! The sea front is rubbish free and easy to access. This was a day visit when staying just outside Cromer but we will definitely stay here when we can

Plenty of different shops to visit but some of them shut on a Wednesday which is frustrating when you are only there on a short break. Good tourist information with plenty of leaflets for trips out nearby. We were too early in the season for some.

An interesting town of late Victorian / Edwardian style.
An interesting town of late Victorian / Edwardian style. Nowadays a dated holiday gem best appreciated by older people. Full of nostalgia for over 60s as it brings back memories of childhood holidays. Lovely pier, beach and Cliff path walks.
Excellent sea food . Easy railway access to Norwich city and good road access to fascinating historical places all round the county.
We stayed in Room 3 and the room was beautifully presented, very comfortable with everything we needed and there were plenty of teabags, coffee, sugar, milk etc and even a Nespresso machine! So often hotels give you a meagre supply but not at the Welly :-) Also residents get 10% discount at Breakers cafe just across the road which is great for breakfast. The Wellington has a good bar with atmosphere, which was where most of the life in Cromer was when we were there, but it didn't keep us awake because the bar closes at 11. Perfect!
Lovely relaxing hotel, friendly staff and owner, was made to feel welcome from the start. They gave us an upgrade when booking in and it was a fantastic room at the top of the hotel, with an outside patio, the views were amazing!
There is also a seating area outside, which is very comfortable with views out to sea. We also found the food to be good, all in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Dormy Hotel and if we visit Cromer again we would definitely stay there again.
Apartment is comfortable with nice tables outside and kitchen is lovely and well stocked. The town is a 20 minute walk away either through the street or down a cliffside path from the lighthouse. The path is stunning. Perfect for families or if you love golf, since the course is right next door. There is a pool and restaurant but I did not use either. There is limited public transport so if you don't want to walk to town, then it is better suited for people with cars.
My wife and I are mature cyclists. We travelled around Norfolk using two Sustrans routes.
We stopped at five different hotels about 45 miles apart. Each hotel traditionally catered for other markets. All the staff we met on tour were friendly and helpful and all the hotels were clean. The Hotel de Paris was busy when we arrived hosting a coach party. The staff were very busy so perhaps we felt a little underwhelmed with the reception.
I had great difficulty accessing the property. Once I did, with the help of a kind pub owner, it was impossible to get my cases up into the place. The courtyard was made up entirely of very deep, big gravel and my wheeled luggage couldn't traverse it. If there had be one photo of this place, I NEVER would have booked it. I ended up sleeping in a room in the pub and headed out of Cromer early the next morning. Awful experience.
great location for trips out to Cromer as well as anywhere along the north Norfolk coast. Also lovely walks direct from the property. Nice village pub with good food. Barnham is an exceptionally lovely property with a beautiful garden and a hot tub and equipped with everything you can think of. Graham gives you lots of advice on things to do and places to eat whilst staying in Southrepps. Whole family had a lovely time!
The location right on the front is exceptional, with great sea views and views across Cromer. The bar area lacked atmosphere but this was probably down to the refurbishment works going on while we there. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an old fashioned charm which is delightful.
Location, facilities, comfort, cleanliness, Annette's helpfulness - just perfect. Our second stay at the Old Bakery with the same group of friends celebrating birthdays and we will definitely be back. The Old Bakery is just the perfect spot for a walk into Cromer or across the cliff tops to Overstrand.
We had two rooms and were room only. The family room was large, clean and airy. The double was snug. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and had a great atmosphere. There was lots of entertainment available and the bar was well stocked.
Didn’t have breakfast this time. Location excellent as close to Cromer town centre and ideal for exploring North Norfolk coast.Staff very welcoming ,friendly and helpful. Cleanliness and decor excellent. Will definitely want to return again.
Great location, right in the center of town so easy access to the shops and restaurants. Nice size apartment and very nicely decorated. If any issues the management company are downstairs, which is always easy to drop off the keys.
A superb location with all the facilities required. Cromer and the surrounding towns are very quaint and easily accessible to walk to. Would recommend the Red Lion for food.
Archiethe dog loved it.
They had a plumbing issue so we were unable to stay at the property. We understand that these things cant be helped but the catalogue of disasters from the lettings company was awful
Small but comfortable apartment with on site parking. Attractive setting and walkable into Cromer centre (about 20 minutes). Useful as a base for walking North Norfolk coastline.
Hotel in good location for Sheringham and Cromer. Rooms clean, beds comfy and staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool although a little cold and adequate gym.
