Stayed for a night before a flight from Stansted the following day and was very impressed with the hotel. The room was large, spacious and very comfortable with all the facilities I needed: eg. kettle, TV, fan for cooling the room, seating etc.
The bathroom was also sizeable and clean with a good shower and soap/ shower gel provided for the stay.
Only dealt with one staff member when I checked in, she was friendly and very informative and helpful.
Location wise it was perfect for the airport, it was a short walk from the hotel to the train station (and from there a short ride to the airport). Also the location was convenient for the town centre in Bishop Stortford, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops within easy reach. (The hotel had an Italian restaurant on site also which looked good but I didn't need to use it on this visit)
This small, AA 4-star gold-rated boutique hotel with a motoring theme has a large American-style kitchen, unique bedrooms and Morgan sports cars to hire on site.

This charming, quiet town has lovely canal walks and a large public park next to the town centre. The high street has good eateries and nice little shops. Don't miss the Coffee House Cafe, with it's great sandwiches and all-day cooked breakfast!
If you want to explore further the helpful staff in the central tourist office will suggest various self guided historic walks.
It is a perfect spot to overnight only a 15 minute drive from Stansted airport (and is NOT on the flight path, so no noise of passing planes), and easily reached by public bus #510 (or #509) which runs a regular service to and from the town even at night.

Bishops Stortford is a lovely old town which is relatively compact so it is easy to walk around the town centre. There is a good range of shops and quaint tea rooms and excellent restaurants. There’s a river and the station is close to the town centre. It can be a bit noisy especially on Saturday evenings.

Bishop's Stortford is a very picturesque town with friendly people who seem disposed to being welcoming and helpful to travellers. We were only passing through on our way from Stansted Airport to London, nevertheless, we enjoyed visiting the town and would have liked to have stayed a little longer to explore it a bit more

I had limited time to explore the town but I enjoyed walking around on Saturday and noting the mixture of the old historic architecture and the new building. There were plenty of options to eat or stop for a drink.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. We was just staying overnight for the Standon Calling Festival and it’s perfect location for anyone going to this. Just about 20 minutes in a taxi from the site. Lots of pubs and nice coffee shops for breakfast the next day. Nice quaint little town with plenty to do.

As we were arriving late and leaving before dawn for an early flight, our experience was limited but excellent nonetheless. Super room lovingly created in art deco style with some period features and good replica pieces where originals were unavailable. But the kitchen was worth the visit in itself. The owners have gone over and above in fitting out this extraordinary space where all your needs are catered for on a self-service basis. We chose the hotel for its proximity to Stansted airport but wish we could have stayed longer.
Stayed here to visit my brother in the area. It's an absolutely beautiful hotel . Very quirky, I loved all the pictures and quotes all around the hotel . We stayed in room 21 ground floor which was a really good size room with such an amazing, big, comfy bed . We visited the bar and met the owner Brandon he was very friendly and did make us laugh with his jokes
The pub does have entertainment on most nights, which is good and specialises in weddings
Overall, I would definitely come back again
Thank you for having us x
Staff - The staff around the hotel were pleasant and accommodating.
Facilities - The weather was lovely which meant we were able to enjoy the outdoor sports, walking trail, and al fresco drinking.
Eden Spa - Capacity is very limited, there are two changing rooms and two showers in the ladies area. The pool is more of a jacuzzi and smaller then it looks but the overall spa experience is very tranquil and relaxing.
Grounds - they are beautiful
Perfect for an overnight stay. Economical use of a small space. Welcome pack of milk/fruit/biscuits a nice touch. Electric fan was a result as stay was during the heatwave. 10 min walk from town centre. Park directly opposite to walk the dog round. Recommend the Dogs Head pub in town, nice burgers/beers and very dog friendly.
We rung the hotel to ask about parking and the lady was lovely and helped us with the best place to park. We rung the hotel again when we had parked and the same lady came down to great us and show us to our room, very nice lady. The room was bigger than we expected and clean with comfy beds. Would stay again.
Great Aparmtnt in a very good location in bishops Stortford. easy access to the shops and airport.
It has all the amnesties one need and free car parking space too which was ideal for me.
but above all owner was very accommodating and helped me out with a few times of modifications to my booking
Very small room absolutely no one to look after, no attendant for any support, for example we were shocked to see no hot water in bath rooms, we had to chase customer care for 4 hours for hot water in bathrooms, that too was switched on for 1 hour only.
Hotel is in jungle
It was my husband and son in laws stayed here as they was at a stag weekend.
They said Location was excellent for bishops Stortford Town. Parking outside the door. Easy access with door code. Everything they needed. Tea and coffee making facilities. Clean and tidy.
Was having a night out in Bishops Stortford and needed somewhere to stay. Jolly Brewers perfect. Easy to book, room ready on arrival. Set of cabins next to the pub. Quiet, clean and well presented. Will definitely use it again
The guest house itself was very pretty and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was also very tasty and excellent value for money. The location is just outside of Bishops Stortford but very quiet and peaceful.
The location in town centre is the most positive thing to say about this hotel. Various Resturants within very close proximity.
Bedroom was ok with clean bed linen, towels and en-suite shower/WC in good condition.
The host took me to the local train station the morning I left, free of charge. This was not something we discussed upon booking so it was a very nice gesture which sure saved time and energy.
The cottage guest house was a great base for us whilst in the area for a wedding. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, we would definitely stay again.
