It is a charming area with lots of interesting places to visit to suit varied tastes. The village had shops which sold locally grown produce and seemed environmentally aware also had a friendly atmosphere. Beulieu is very near Exbury Gardens which are fantastic generally but particularly for the Azaleas and Rhododendrons in April and May.

It was actually East Boldre we stayed but it was really in Beaulieu. It is well placed to reach anywhere. Many places of interest on the doorstep. We went 20th June and there were loads of foals and young donkeys who were so cute. I love the fact that animals have the right of way - and humans have to wait for them to move. We visited Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Ringwood, Beaulieu car museum and Bucklers Hard and they were all worth a visit. Many picturesque villages in the New Forest.

The approach to Beaulieu through the New Forest is magical in its own right. The Village is quintessentially British and very charming. One could spend hours meandering along the streets windowshopping. For lovers of old cars you will be in seventh heaven.

I would tell all & any who would ask that this hotel is top of the list for comfort, size & very attentive staff. I would stay again at a drop.my wife had one of the best nights sleep in many years. They gave us a lovely breakfast full of fresh locally sourced items &very well cooked. When we left they gave us a couple of bottles of water & a newspaper I would.Score 10 out of 10

The food was excellent but not a great deal of choice, if you want a room over looking the river you need to be very adept as its difficult to climb the stairs, these rooms don't have showers only baths that take for ever to fill. We was fortunate that the hotel didn't seem to be full, if it was I think you would wait for ever to be served in the restaurants and bars.

Go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.

Go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. Hotel reception set in part of the old buildings, as was the bar area. Previous (to my knowledge) the display of historic scenes had been moved and are now mainly within the Museum just up the hill. Tea rooms up the hill further were well stocked, clean and airy.

The location was stunning. the hotel was just amazing and felt like we had gone back in time with all the history that surrounds it. our bedroom was clean and cozy and just beautiful. The staff were all helpful and friendly. we ate dinner in the evening at the river view restaurant, the food was amazing as was breakfast, we took the boat trip and took a walk along the river, can’t believe we had never heard of this place. was the most perfect stay.

The property and location are both very pleasant. Pear Tree Cabin is located beside a private house with secure gates in Fursey Lane in the middle of the New Forest. One definitely feels squarely in the ancient territory of some very entertaining four-footed friends. The colour scheme, beds, fittings, bathroom and bedlinen are all excellent quality. It feels like a hotel suite. The host kindly provided us in advance with milk, butter and eggs.

The location of the hotel is absolutely idyllic. The hotel was well appointed. The room was clean and satisfactory. We were in the Henry Adams wing on the ground floor. As such, the room, didn't have a view and didn't get any sun. This was a blessing since we stayed during a mini heatwave and the room kept quite cool. Additionally, there was a fan which was used to keep us even cooler during the night.

The location is so peaceful and the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was lovely. Although I wasn't a fan of the room, the bed was large and the bathroom had a bath. The location is by far the best thing about this hotel, with the walk to Beaulieu and river cruises right outside, and the garden terrace for sunny days.

Beaulieu is a very picturesque and busy little village well located for visiting the New Forest. The hotel was wonderful as were the staff. We stayed in the Walnut Suite which was very comfortable for our 6 night stay. Breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey. We enjoyed the Terrace restaurant too.

The cottage was in a lovely location for the New Forest and Beaulieu, which is why we were there. It had all the facilities one would want and the owner was a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting this area.

The cottage is charming and is located right on the high street making the location ideal for several walks from Beaulieu including to Bucklers Hard. Ed and Beg are lovely and we had lovely evenings chatting to them and sharing stories in the gorgeous garden.
