My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat. Perfect location with gorgeous view and it's not too far from the Lake site. The rooms were well maintained and felt comfortable. I slept so comfortably. As we like to cook our own food I felt the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Staff were so helpful and did their best to help with anything we would need. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay especially my parents who were long way from home were overwhelmed with the beauty and hospitality. Would recommend staying here.

Excellent location, private second floor ensuite room with a view of the mountains and loch, very delicious breakfast. Easy check-in with a courteous receptionist. After leaving I realised whilst on my onward journey to Oban I'd left my phone charger in the room, I phoned the hotel and the staff very kindly reserved it for me to collect three days later.

Melissa and Paul were incredibly accommodating and generous. It was my birthday, and Melissa treated me to freshly cut flowers and a celebratory drink. The location is gorgeous and perfect for bagging several Munros—we did Ben Narnainne, Ime, and Vane—and our room offered a stunning view across Loch Long to the Cobbler. We love a cooked breakfast, and the additional pastries were a nice surprise. Melissa and Paul were able to fit an extra bed in our room so a friend could join us. We felt very well looked after.

I had the best week staying at Melissa and Paul's beautiful B&B to explore the Arrochar Alps. My room was super cosy and clean, with the nicest view of Loch Long and the Cobbler. Breakfast was a highlight each day - there's so much choice and Melissa cooks an excellent full English breakfast. She even made me a vegetarian version which I really appreciated. Both Melissa and Paul are very friendly, helpful people with great energy! Would highly recommend their B&B and hope to return in the future.

Everything !! Great location and even though on the A83 it was very quite. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The cottage is very nice with everything you need for a home from home stay. Very clean inside with comfy furniture and a very comfy bed. The views from the lounge and bedroom windows was breath taking and even better when viewing from outside ! Simply stunning views of the Arrochar alps and loch Long. Thank you for a lovely if not rather damp stay.

Staff all very friendly and helpful; the breakfast team, in particular, went out of their way fo provide my special requests, and provide it all in a stylish way. Plenty of hot water and heating at all times, which is important in the Highlands in December! Conveniently located for main roads near the Arrochar Alps and easy to get to from Helensburgh or Loch Lomond. Bar meals available all afternoon and evening. The steak and venison pie was particularly good!

I liked the view of Loch Long and the mountains from my tiny room. I liked the elevator but only used it for moving luggage. I liked the proximity to several places including Loch Lomond, Inveraray, St Conan's Kirk, etc. I liked the staff. Since I was there for 16 nights, they got to know my face. Friendly but professional. Had scrambled eggs every morning and tea with a beautiful view to the Loch and mountains.

Great location for exploring Loch Lomond national park or munro bagging. Lovely views from most rooms. Easy to find hotel (though parking took us a little bit to figure out...). Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and breakfast staff was generally friendly and nice to talk with. I really liked that we could choose our breakfast in advance and therefore could help limit wastage.

The hotel is situated perfectly on the banks of Loch Long with spectacular view of the loch and the hillside beyond. The room was spacious, immaculate and well appointed. The Loch view description did not disappoint, even in the poor weather I arrived in. The local village contains a small number of options for food, but Ben Arthurs Bothy next door served a great meal and pint at a good price.

Everything. What a fantastic home in a beautiful area. Have been holidaying in Loch lomond for 20+ years, and this is by far the nest location i have stayed in. Village inn down the road for bevy and a scran and plenty more bars/hotels and restaurants a 5/10min walk away. Fishing on the pier (caught 3 Mackeral no big deal guys). Genuinely canny wait to come back.

The exterior of the hotel was exactly as you see in the photo’s, an old manor house sitting in a picturesque location. however, the inside is in need of a good refurbishment. The corridors smelt of old damp carpet, the room was tiny, and unless you had a window permanently open, condensation gathered instantly.
