The main square was a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. There are plenty of decent shops, but lacking a good independent pasticceria. You can still buy pastries from cafes and one of the many supermarkets.
You won't be stuck for a decent pizzeria as there are several. Il Grottino and Spano's do a good take away as well as eating in. You can eat well in one of the many spaghetteria.
People are mainly friendly and helpful. Driving isn't difficult.
One of the best, tastiest meals we had was the street vendor near the tower: The Sunrise Street Food. You can sit outside and enjoy the view across a bay. The food is excellent!
Rubbish needs to be taken to one of the recycling points (behind the police station).
There's a very touristy looking restaurant overlooking the Rena Bianca beach, but it sells good gelati! Don't be put off.
The Rena Bianca beach is gorgeous. The water is so clear. I will definitely be going back.
Ooh yes, the highlight for my son was seeing a wild boar in town!

I didn't find there was much to see/do, some restaurants/shops were close to the hotel. For me this was a stop over to wait out the ferry that did not sail to Corsica, my actual destination, due to the cyclone.
This would not be a location I would return to, except if I was getting the ferry again..

The property is clean, modern, and an adorable place to stay. It was easy to find. Google maps led us to the property. Communication with Simone, the host, was excellent. He even offered to bring us around town for a tour and gave us information on how to go to Palau and buy tickets to the ferry. He is such a nice, helpful and happy person. Check-in was a breeze as well as check-out. We found street parking just in front of the property. The beach is close by, about a 5 minute walk down a slope and stairs.
Nice quiet hotel. Wonderful, very kind owner/personnel. Room was very nice and comfy, better than it looked at the photos. Doors should be changed.
We had the detached bathroom but it was only 2 steps from the room and was not problem at all.
It is in a quiet street, but only 5 minutes walk from the lively square.
We ate delicious Sardinian dinner (and with -10%) in the restaurant that the owners recommended.
What a cute town and this location was just a very pleasant short walk away. Gigi was a super host! We could have spent forever talking to him. He was so very kind and full of very helpful information. Also, our stay was so comfortable as as many amenities were provided. This place is EXTREMELY clean and so very cozy. We can not recommend enough. A true gem!!! Glad we found this lovely place.
Very friendly host. Room and bathroom were very modern and comfortable. Great Italian breakfast. Location at the road to Capo Testa, which is only a few minutes by car. Also the city center with many restaurants and cafes can be reached easily by foot from the B&B. Public parking available in front of the house and nearby streets.
Good location at a reasonable price. Relatively quiet and well equipped.
I highly recommend it instead of the higher-rated locations towards the beach.
Lots of good restaurants nearby. I recommend checking-out the Via d'Aosta street.
Coffee machine and a small fridge in the room.
Good powerful AC machine, it was needed.
Our stay was so nice, staff were very hepful, polite and friendly. The breakfast was just perfect! The location of the hotel was so practical, there were many nice restaurants in walking distance, a very big market accross the street, parking was never an issue. We could walk to Rena Bianca beach.
Really enjoyed my time at Hotel Da Cecco. Location was perfect, close to everything but incredibly quiet at night as well. Staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming. Tried two of the restaurants they recommended and they were first class. Room was clean and well equipped. Loved the balcony.
Amazing location, loved our terrace. Room was nice and quiet and we had a great time having a private breakfast on the patio. The family who runs the B&B is super nice. Thanks Max, Nicoletta, Julia and Andreas. We loved your place and town. Breakfast was very nice.
Our whole stay at the Sweet Sea View was great. The room was lovely, the host offered coffee and tea each day, everything was really clean, you can see the ocean from the window and you are just a short walk away from a lot of restaurants, shops and a piazza.
The hotel is small and very nice. The service is excellent and personal. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Daniella is so pleasant and helpful and has great tips on where to eat and the best beaches to go to.
Nice Hotel with tiny balcony, fridge, aircon. Close to old town and beach. Owner friendly and helpful. Drove us to the Port on departure. Nice continental breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, yogurt & croissants
very nice small hotel, slightly away from the town centre, although easily walkable, but very close to the port. Nicely fitted out, and offering a very good breakfast. We stayed for a few nights.
This is a charming family run hotel that offers the best value in town. I loved the supply of toiletries & the balcony with the apparatus to dry hand washable in the ever-present Sardinian sun!
Fresh bakery breakfast on the balcony with sea view was perfect! Comfy, clean spacious room and local Sardinian toiletries in the room, close to town. Great sunset view from window!
True 4 star hotel in amazing location. Great room with fabulous terrace and view. Beach 2 minutes walk. Private beach facilities well organised. Short walk to range of restaurants.
Good location and quiet. Always enough sun loungers during the day which is sometimes a problem in some hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location close to town.
