Berehaven Pods, hotel in Castletownbere

Boasting garden views, Berehaven Pods features accommodation with a private beach area, a garden and barbecue facilities, around 3.9 km from Hungry Hill.

From the very beginning, Sheila impressed us with her exceptional communication and helpful information. Even before we arrived at Berehaven, she was responsive and ensured we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. The moment we stepped onto the property, we were blown away by the fantastic setup. The location itself is beautiful, but the way it's arranged truly enhances the experience. The staff added to the positive atmosphere with their warmth and friendliness, making us feel welcome from the start. The pods were perfect for our weekend getaway. They provided the ideal balance of comfort and functionality, offering exactly what we needed. We can't wait to return and experience Berehaven's magic again! Highly Recommend!

A house and a half on Beara peninsula, hotel in Castletownbere

Situated in Castletownbere and only 4.7 km from Dunboy Castle, A house and a half on Beara peninsula features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Cosy ‘living’ pod with underfloor heating and some cooking facilities (microwave, air fryer, single electric stovetop ring - no oven). The bed was comfortable. It was within walking distance to the town/harbour and castletownbere is a good base for this area.

There is so much to do in this area.

There is so much to do in this area. Beautiful gardens you could spend half a day if not a full day. Scenery will exceed all your expectations. I have travelled all over the world and reland still remains the most beautiful country. The food in the pubs we randomly went into was lovely and fairly priced.

Castletownbere is a lovely fishing town in the south west of Ireland. It has a number of great cafes and restaurants. In addition to being a very picturesque place, it is within deriving distance of everywhere on the amazing Bear peninsula, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places to see in Ireland.

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt!

A fantastic location that is really unspoilt! Fabulous scenery ,great walks even around the town and the harbour, very good places to eat. I'd even recommend the chippers in the Square and great music in the pubs at night. It was really easy to get talking to locals and tourists alike. Very relaxed atmosphere and got some shopping in too! I loved the Art Gallery and prices were very good too.

A beautiful B&B located in a quiet yet wonderful location easily accessible by car (not sure about another mode of transport as I used my own car). The place was kept in excellent condition and the room had all the necessary amenities. The toilet was good and had all the required toiletries and fresh towels. The view from our room was lovely, especially in the morning. The breakfast served was good too. It is close to a lot of beautiful scenic gems along the west of cork. Ideal location if you are planning a ring of Beara trip.

Without a doubt, the best B&B in all of Beara. Beautiful room, great location, and the hotel is staffed by angels - Michelle, Lorna and all the staff put in so much effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is absolutely divine - unparalleled breakfast, and the Tea Room serves the best cake we've ever eaten. If you wish to explore the Beara Peninsula, make the Old Medical Hall your base of operations.

Everything was lovely. Denis the host is gracious & helpful — as needed. The location is terrific for getting out & about in the town of Castletownbere, with a wonderful view across the bay to Bere Island. The breakfast each morning is sumptuous, cold cuts, fruit salad, freshly baked bread, eggs & sausage on weekends. There's even a small library of books about the West Cork region.

Location was excellent with a view overlooking Castletownbere. Host Robert was very helpful and informative anytime I needed to contact him. Got to see the best of the coastline from Castletownbere to Kenmare and a day trip to Glengarriff too. And to top it off, a day on Bere Island with Spring sunshine all day. Hope to make it back someday.

Fantastic modern cottage in superb location, with towering Hungry Hill above and glorious views across Gantry Bay below. The house is only a 10-minute drive away from Castletownbere, with its bars and restaurants. Very tranquil position, peaceful at night. Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Beara peninsula and beyond.
