Conviently located, the room was a good size with quality bedding and towels and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided too.
We had dinner in the restaurant, there was a good choice and it was very hot and tasty.
Transfer to the airport early hours was faultless.
We received a nice warm welcome from the lady on reception who also served us at the bar and took our meal order. All staff were polite and helpful.

Fantastic location for departures from North Terminal
Lovely comfortable room with all facilities but the TV...
Lovely comfortable room with all facilities but the TV wasn't working properly as it needed a code, the bed was very low for me to get out of quickly (I'm old,) Noise from someone coughing was preventing a good nights sleep.
Was going on an early flight from Gatwick and though Breakfast was available it would be much too late but could have offered a takeaway but didn't. All other facilities were on offer and all at a reasonable price. for its location..
Why is parking not free or added in the price of the stay especially when there is public parking 200 yds down the road?

Pleasant little town with a good range of restaurants and pubs so we had a range of options for dinner. We were only there for an early morning flight from Gatwick so didn't spend time exploring - although it did look as though there would be good walks in the surrounding countryside. We ate at the Wetherspoons a that is an inexpensive option; the staff were very friendly and the ambience was good.
Would certainly choose to stay in Horley again if we needed a night's accommodation before a morning flight from Gatwick.

Many people stay in the area because its so close to Gatwick airport. When you are there, make sure to check out Ye Olde Six Bells. Its a great restaurant that was built in the 1400's as part of a monastery.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells.
There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.
Its proximity to airport was awesome, walkable right there, We came in late from international flight and had to leave early- both the late night staff and the early staff were very helpful. We had to schedule a bus transfer to another location and the staff helped to explained our options well- highly recommend this hotel if your using Gatwick airport and or connecting to Heathrow. Yummy breakfast at 6:30.National bus service is about an hour transfer between Gatwick and Heathrow
Horley is definitely not a touristic place, however we found the hotel very suitable as it was close to a Covid Testing Centre where we we supposed to be in the early morning. It is also within easy reach from Gatwick Airport which is most convenient for an early flight but do not panic, the hotel has double-glazed windows everywhere and you will enjoy a quiet night ! A lovely breakfast will also await you.
Very comfortable, heating was on maximum when I arrived on a very cold day, not like a lot of hotels where you have to turn it on yourself and wait for it to warm up.
Leass than a ten minute walk from Horley Station that is about five minutes to Gatwick so no need to get a cab for £45 at 5.30 in the morning.
A five minute walk to a wide choice of restaurants.
Very good continental breakfast. Staff helpful, pleasant and friendly. Good location for Horley High Street and Gatwick. Good courier service. Building being refurbished ie reception and access to breakfast room. A work in progress. Obviously trying to improve things for their customers. Liked the outdoor area at the front. Glad given a ground floor room.
Can’t beat the location right it Gatwick Terminal 2. Clean bed, very quiet. So if you just want to sleep this fits the bill. A cool concept for a miniature hotel.
It is, however, tiny!! You wouldn’t want to spend much time here (also not good if you are not athletic enough to climb into the bunk pod, or if you get claustrophobic - it’s veeery small)
Great location. You are very close to the airport but not a chain hotel captive for the night. Easy bus right out the door to Gatwick or they’ll call you a cab. In quiet neighborhood, and you can walk to a range of good restaurants in 5 minutes. We had an excellent Turkish meal.
Very courteous and helpful concierge. Room was small but comfortable.
The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Horley train station which is pretty easy even with big bags. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was round the corner from the main entrance and was clean and comfortable. It's a 5 minute taxi ride from Gatwick Airport. As we were leaving early we didn't have breakfast there.
The hotel is convenient for Gatwick airport (is is possible to walk if you know about the Sussex Border Path which will get you between the Gatwick Travelodge and the North Terminal). The Black Horse Pub is nearby which does above average pub meals. The ensuite was large albeit with a too-small shower module.
Had a very enjoyable overnight stay at the Sofitel before flying from Gatwick. Everything was positive about the experience, from being checked in by Gideon to the large room and comfortable bed to the lovely breakfast. I would definitely return to this hotel.
It was not far from Gatwick Airport and there was a bus stop right outside the room. The room was bigger than expected and the service was decent, the bathroom was rather large, it was a rainy day but it was ok. It's a huge lot basically turned into a hotel.
The house was supper nice and clean very comfortable stay and the host is an amazing person with lots of hospitality and give advice! Totally happy to stay here and would recommended for people traveling near gatwick airport area!
The staff were very welcoming and great throughout our stay, we dined at the hotel's restaurant which was good. The surrounding of the hotel is in a nice area and close to Gatwick Airport which is what we needed the stay for.
Location and quick access by bus and train to and from Gatwick. Nice little breakfast; nice little bar in the hotel to have a nightcap.
Horley is a nice little town. Had a fun evening at Foresters Pub close by the hotel.
Excellent hotel, large rooms, tea, delicious breakfast, very beautiful breakfast room, friendly helpful staff. Very beautiful place, near Gatwick. Everything is great! They accept cash. Thank you so much🙂
We happened upon this excellent hotel after our flight from Gatwick was cancelled. A lovely hotel, near the village of Horley, with friendly, cheery staff, comfortable rooms, shuttle to & from airport.
The location was perfect with Hoppa buses to/from Gatwick in 10 minutes. Our room was spacious with twin beds as we requested. Our evening meal was excellent and the hotel was very clean.
The location was good. Easy access to Gatwick airport and an early flight. That was the reason I chose this hotel. It was also cheap compared to other hotels in the area.
Breakfast was awesome, and the location was perfect from Gatwick airport. Taking the shuttle bus worked out, and teh staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly
corner House was an easy get to from Gatwick station. the public bus stopped right in front of the hotel. In the morning they offered shuttle service to the airport.
