Dinner and cooked breakfast was fabulous! Comfy large bed and spacious room, though fairly basic for the price. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I used to live here so only visiting family, unless you are here for the railway heritage there is not a lot to see in the town, but it is like most towns that we visit empty shops a sense of depreciation everywhere.

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future.
Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration)
My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money.
We are back in January!
Lovely stylish restaurant, in Darlington city center Room was gorgeous, There was a lil fridge with some water and coke cans and a coffee machine with the pods. Room was clean, staff was lovely there was parking in the hotel but limited spots and no disabled badge holder spots had too pay a £5 extra for parking. They served breakfast in the morning pre book which was good would stay again.
The front of the hotel is a beautiful old building. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were both good. Plenty of parking although utilising a lovely walled garden seems a shame. Although weddings were in progress on both days there, there was no noise from these events. Nice walk in to the centre of Darlington, although there is a regular bus service.
The room was a nice size very spacious and clean and we had a comfortable stay there is a restaurant attached to the hotel ideal for a quiet drink but I didn't really rate the food. If you want to go into Darlington town centre you can catch a bus 2minute walk across the road there are buses every half hour ideal if you don't want to drive.
Great property in a great location for Darlington town centre and railway station. This is our second stay at the house and we were again impressed with the communication, cleanliness and facilities in the house. We really appreciate the secure off-road parking when we spent the week trekking around on foot.
We have stayed there in the past and it is always good. This time through no fault of the hotel there was a power cut. No electricity from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. We would have eaten in the hotel but went elsewhere had to drive to Darlington. There was no recompense not even a free drink. A bit disappointing.
First staff on arrival was a really and helpful lady who offered to change our room due to initial room being above the ball room whilst events were on. Really clean and tidy room, good room size and hotel was a great location. Parking facilities very handy and ideal, overall good value for money.
The town house is perfectly situated in the centre of Darlington and everything is a minutes walk away. The property was welcoming, clean and the host was exceptionally welcoming. The breakfast is a complete must as the quality of every item was displayed and cooked to perfection.
Room, location, Nora from the shop Fish and chips who actually helped me to get inside the hotel. The kitchen was helpful, there is everything you need for a quick breakfast. Microwave, frudge and kettle work well. The fridge is very small, but it was fairly clean
