Staff at reception , Ruchitha plus F & B Staff, Laura were really helpful when I was really anxious about the food and water situation after 12 o’clock midnight, as I say food and water are a necessity not a luxury, small things that are easily rectified, Thank Adam M Hartfree, Director LTD Live the dream Ltd

The size of the rooms are too small.
The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

Driving from Scotland to visit my sister in hospital so no other comments had a take-away from the Golden Siam restaurant very expensive and not true Thai cooking having lived in Thailand for 12 years I am more than qualified to judge. If we have to visit again I hope that it will not be at the hospital.

We were in Stevenage specifically to visit with our daughter, husband and new grand-daughter. We loved that we could easily get around town with Uber. There was a small market area within walking distance of where we stayed with a little pub for breakfast and a Tesco Express. I have been to Knebworth House which you really should not miss. It is a lovely, stately old historical home in the area and was very nice to visit particularly if you are a history buff.

I used to live in Stevenage.
There are many hotels to stay.
Knebworth house is nearby an interesting place to visit.
There is good bus service.
Many eating places.
Hotel reception was clean and welcoming and the staff very good. Parking was available outside the hotel on the road using a parking meter. Other parking was also available at a reasonable cost. Very close location to the train station and also Stevenage leisure Centre, theatre and food outlet village
The rooms were large and clean and the breakfast was a buffet but with plenty of choice for all tastes
I would also say the hotel is very good value for money
I would normally stay in hotels like Premier Inn, Holiday Inn etc but on this occasion they were fully booked and I saw Abbington. I read customer reviews about them and decided to try them, I was not disappointed. The building though old was well maintained, it was neat and tidy. I spent two nights and I'll surely use them again. Also to good to note that the owners, Frank and Sophia were friendly.
Hotel was conveniently situated. Although the busy traffic couldn’t be heard from inside the property. It had good off street parking, immaculate rooms and lovely owners. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely be staying there again and would happily recommend it to friends and family
1 night stay. We booked a dog friendly room and it was great. Had a back entrance to the grass/car park area, and a front entrance into the main Hotel corridor. It meant we didn’t have to take our dogs through the Hotel to get outside. Great shower and nice breakfast.
Very friendly polite helpful staff.
It's a lovely little hotel with breakfast and all the other facilities that we needed for our short stay, but what has impressed us the most is the kindness and forthcoming of staff. They were exceptionally nice, patient and generous and they have definitely improved the whole impression of the hotel.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and good availability of food. The shower was great a good size and easy to use. We brought our dog and there was plenty of area to take him for a walk in and around hotel. We had a lovely break will use hotel again.
Room was a really good size, modern and clean. Plenty of added extras like hairdryer, and iron. Large comfortable bed with enough pillows. Enough refreshments for more than just 1 cup of tea. Shower in the morning was so good. I'm definitely booking again when I'm working in the area.
Made to feel so welcome - pleasure to stay in a clean and comfortable room. Everyone I met owner, staff, local customers and fellow guests were genuine and generous. Would highly recommend especially if you don't want the impersonal corporate hotel experience.

Our room was above the entrance, at about 11pm noise from cars, bikes and people leaving the hotel from a function was very loud and kept us awake until about 3am. The breakfast was not as it was last year - very disappointing
The hotel car park was full when we arrived but parking (much cheaper) was available in the outside car park immediately opposite the hotel. Staff were friendly. It was a 15 minute walk to the station which was no issue.
Lovely room, well decorated with comfy bed, kettle, microwave and fridge. Check in process was easy and there was a very useful car park at the back of the property. Just a short walk from Stevenage old town center.
Perfect for what I needed, a hotel close to the train station. Super comfy bed and right next to a huge Tesco grocery shop as well. Very friendly staff! Clean and quiet.
