The location was excellent for site seeing and shopping and finding restaurants nearby. The hotel room was lovely, clean and big. Could have done with some bottled water. We decided it was cheaper to eat outside for breakfast.

The location, although kinda out the way, it was in a lovely, safe feeling area. The hosts were brilliant with their local knowledge, as well as telling me about the bus routes into Hatfield for Slam Dunk Festival! The beds were comfy and the rooms were cozy, literally no complaints at all

St. Albans is a large town/ small city, with a good number...
St. Albans is a large town/ small city, with a good number of interesting old buildings, including a medieval bell tower, and several museums, including the excellent museum of Roman artefacts on the far side of the large park which drops down from the cathedral. The cathedral is a must if you are into old buildings, with its Norman tower made from Roman bricks among many other features. I was also made very welcome when I joined them for worship. The town has very good pubs, cafes and restaurants, and an extensive street market on certain days. The town itself probably merits a leisurely weekend stay if you enjoy lingering in the cafes, but the Thameslink trains make a day in London very easy, and, if you like old planes, a visit to the De Havilland museum ( no. 84 bus from the town centre ) is well worth it ( rather long walk up the drive from the bus stop, but there is parking at the museum if you take your car. )

St Albans is a very friendly town with people opening doors...
St Albans is a very friendly town with people opening doors and being kind and considerate. We ate in whetherspoons in their Tudor barns and they also had an outdoor area to eat and drink if no rain! The pricing of everything we ate and drank was of good value and was very clean. There was lots of places we wanted to visit but most of our holiday it rained! But we did visit the shops which are all different and have different price ranges and styles.

Property is in an excellent area and just about a 10min walk to St. Albans City station - with rather quick links into London (which I also needed for work). The flat is modern and clean and ideal for an individual or small family/group. The city centre is within walking distance if you fancy the night life in St. Albans. For me, I was able to take long walks and runs around the Verulamium park. Highly recommended!

It has a lot of the original features, low ceilings, slightly wonky creaky floors and original beams. There is a small restaurant which delivered a most delicious Sunday lunch; well recommended and pretty reasonable in price. The location is ideal for visiting the city cathedral and the town centre. A must for anyone visiting Saint Albans. The staff were very friendly and professional too.

Bar area nice for a drink on-site. Bedding/quilts lovely and clean and felt new! Lovely decor through out hotel. Great location and parking, even the overspill car park was a quick side access walk away. Cab ordered for train station which is more than a walk away and no trouble and call you in your room when it was outside.
