If you like large good value for money hotels and you are...
If you like large good value for money hotels and you are looking for all inclusive then this is for you. I opted for this hotel for the safari option and for that reason it was well worth it. Book local hire taxis and next time I would stay at a smaller hotel not catering for the masses, but that’s my fault for not researching it more. Although it is far from the airport, being on the south side of the Island, this hotel is located very conveniently. There is a turtle cave, a swimming cave and dolphin viewing within 15 minutes drive from the hotel. Jambiani is a great place to visit when you aren't looking for an extremely busy beach with lots of noise. That being said, there were still "beach parties" with noise until about midnight. Be aware of the high and low tides, and plan your activities accordingly. Several great restaurants and bars on the small walkable beach. Always felt safe as a solo female traveler.

We spent long times around the pool area and just loved being in Aurora. Great compliments to Marisa and the team to make our stay unforgettable. She went above and beyond. We have never eaten such a rich breakfast anywhere. The portions were huge and everything was delicious. The rooms are very clean, there is always hot water. The beach is only a few minutes walk. Hotel service is fantastic. when we were leaving we were sad to say goodbye to the staff who were always helpful and always made us laugh. The hotel is well guarded and you can feel very safe. If we come back to Zanzibar it's only to Mkeka Spice Lodge.❤

Very spacious and comfortable room with a large balcony, delicious food, perfect location on the beach. The housekeeping ladies were also wonderful, everything was nice and clean. As opposed to some other properties we stayed at in Jambiani, there were no outages of electricity and water, as the hotel has facilities to overcome such supply issues.
